  2. So: sıfat, zarf ve miktar

    (1) So tek başına duran sıfat ve zarflarla kullanılır: So + sıfat (The soup is so hot! She is so kind), so + zarf (Why are you speaking so fast? He drives so carefully). Miktar için so many ve so few çoğul isimlerle, so much ve so little sayılamayan isimlerle gelir: There were so many cars, We have so much work.

  3. Such: isim öbekleri

    (2) Such ise isim öbekleriyle kullanılır: such + a/an + sıfat + tekil sayılabilen isim (It was such a cold morning! She is such a talented musician), such + sıfat + çoğul isim (They are such friendly neighbours!), such + sıfat + sayılamayan isim (It was such terrible weather!).

  4. So … that, such … that

    Her ikisi de that ile bir sonuç cümlesine bağlanabilir ve Türkçedeki “o kadar ... ki” yapısını verir: The tea was so hot that I couldn't drink it, It was such a noisy room that we couldn't hear the speaker.
