Object pronouns

Kural

  1. Özne işi yapar, nesne etkilenir

    Nesne zamirleri eylemden etkilenen kişiyi ya da şeyi gösterir. Özne zamiri işi yapar, nesne zamiri işten etkilenir. Türkçede bu fark ekle yapılır (“ben” ve “beni, bana”); İngilizcede ise zamirin kendisi değişir: I → me, you → you, he → him, she → her, it → it, we → us, they → them.

  2. Fiilden sonra

    Nesne zamiri iki yerde kullanılır.

    (1) Fiilden hemen sonra, fiilin nesnesi olarak: Maria called me yesterday, I saw him at the station, The teacher helped us, David invited them to dinner. Türkçedeki “beni aradı” ile “bana yardım etti” arasındaki -i ve -e farkı İngilizcede yoktur; ikisinde de me kullanılır.

  3. Edattan sonra

    (2) Edatlardan sonra: to, for, with, about, between, after ve from gibi edatlardan sonra gelen zamir her zaman nesne biçimindedir: Listen to me, This parcel is for you, She came with us, I was thinking about him.

1. Look for the time clue

Yesterday, now, every day, already, and since often decide the tense.

I watched it yesterday.

2. Choose the pattern first

Pick the whole grammar structure before choosing the final word.

I am going to study.

3. Check word position

Adverbs, objects, and pronouns must sit in natural English order.

I know him well.

Pronoun forms

English pronouns change by grammatical job: subject, object, possession, or reflexive meaning.

Decision path before answering

Use these checks before choosing between close options.

  1. 1Mark the subject, main verb, object, and any connector.
  2. 2Underline the time expression or discourse clue.
  3. 3Reject any option with the wrong agreement, tense, article, pronoun case, or word order.
  4. 4Read the whole sentence once more for naturalness and register.
