Hızlı Öğren
Present perfect continuous bir etkinliğin ne kadar süredir devam ettiğini ya da şu an görülen izini anlatır; odakta sonuç değil süreç vardır.
Aklında tut
- have ya da has + been + fiil-ing: I have been studying for three hours.
- Şu an görülen izi açıklar: his clothes are dirty because he has been gardening.
- know, believe, love gibi durum fiilleri continuous olmaz: I have known her for years.
Örnekler
- 1The software developer has been writing computer code since early this morning.
- 2Why are your shoes so muddy? — Because I have been walking in the wet woods.
Kaçınılması Gereken Yaygın Tuzak
“-dir yapıyorum” anlamını present continuous ile verme: I am waiting for two hours yanlış, I have been waiting for two hours doğru.

Kural
İki fikir bir arada
Present perfect continuous iki fikri birleştirir: perfect kısmı olayı geçmişten şimdiye bağlar, continuous kısmı ise onu bitmiş bir sonuç olarak değil, süren bir süreç olarak gösterir.
Have ya da has been + -ing
Yapı: have ya da has + been + fiil-ing. I, you, we, they ile have been ('ve been), he, she, it ile has been ('s been) gelir: I have been studying for three hours, She has been working at the clinic all morning. Olumsuzu haven't been ve hasn't been ile kurulur; soruda have ya da has öne geçer: How long have you been learning the piano?
Süren etkinliğin süresi
İki temel kullanımı vardır.
(1) Geçmişte başlayıp şu ana kadar süren bir etkinliğin süresi. Türkçede “İki saattir bekliyorum” derken şimdiki zaman kullanırız; İngilizcede bu anlam present continuous ile değil, present perfect continuous ile verilir: I have been waiting for two hours. for süreyi (for forty minutes), since başlangıç noktasını (since two o'clock) söyler.
Az önce bitmiş işin izi
(2) Az önce bitmiş bir etkinliğin şu an görülen izi: Why are your clothes muddy? I have been planting flowers.
Simple ile farkı
Present perfect simple ile farkı şudur: simple işin bittiğini ve ortaya çıkan miktarı öne çıkarır (I have painted the living room, iş tamam), continuous ise süreci ve harcanan zamanı öne çıkarır (I have been painting the living room, boya belki hâlâ ıslak, iş bitmemiş olabilir).

How to read this B1 topic
At B1, grammar links ideas: condition, result, reported meaning, experience, and narrative order.
1. Name the relationship
Ask whether the sentence gives a condition, contrast, cause, report, or result.
If it rains, we will stay home.
2. Separate time from aspect
Finished event, visible result, duration, and background action use different forms.
I had left before she arrived.
3. Test both clauses
In complex sentences, the second half often proves the first half.
I wish I knew.
Perfect aspect
Perfect forms connect one time to another: earlier to now, earlier to a past point, or duration up to a point.
| Form | Pattern | Core use | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| present perfect | have / has + past participle | past result or experience now | I have finished. |
| present perfect continuous | have / has been + -ing | duration up to now | She has been studying. |
| past perfect | had + past participle | earlier than another past event | They had left before noon. |
| past perfect continuous | had been + -ing | duration before a past point | I had been waiting. |

İstisnalar
Durum bildiren fiiller (know, believe, belong, understand, love, hate ve sahip olmak anlamındaki have) continuous biçim almaz; süre bildirirken present perfect simple kullanılır: I have known David for ten years. Live ve work fiillerinde ise iki biçim arasında neredeyse fark yoktur: I have lived here for five years ile I have been living here for five years ikisi de doğrudur. Bir işin kaç kez yapıldığını ya da ne kadarının bittiğini sayarken continuous değil simple seçilir: She has written three emails.
