  1. Olumsuz ifade başta

    C1 düzeyinde devrik yapı (inversion), B2'deki temel kalıpların ötesine geçer ve resmi yazıda, konuşmalarda ve edebi anlatımda vurgu ile gerilim yaratmak için kullanılır. Olumsuz ya da kısıtlayıcı bir ifade cümle başına alındığında yardımcı fiil öznenin önüne geçer.

  2. Olumsuz ifadeler

    (1) Olumsuz ifadeler: under no circumstances, on no account, in no way, at no time. Under no circumstances should you open this door. Bu ifadeler Türkçedeki “hiçbir koşulda” ya da “asla” anlamını taşır.

  3. İlişkili çiftler

    (2) İlişkili çiftler: not only … but also, no sooner … than, hardly ya da scarcely … when. Not only did she win, but she also broke the record. Bu kalıplarda ikinci cümle normal sırada kalır.

  4. İki cümlecikli yapılar

    (3) İki cümlecikli yapılar: not until, only after, only when, only by, only if. Burada ilk cümlecik normal sıradadır, devrik olan ana cümledir: Only when the results came in did we relax.

  5. So, such ve tam devrik yapı

    (4) So ve such ile öne alma: So tired was he that he fell asleep at dinner; Such was the noise that nobody could sleep.

    (5) Tam devrik yapı: yer ya da yön öbeği cümle başına alındığında ve fiil nesnesiz bir hareket ya da konum fiili olduğunda, fiilin kendisi özneden önce gelir: On the table lay a single letter. Bu son türde do eklenmez.

At C1, think like an editor: precision, cohesion, stance, information flow, and controlled formality.

1. Track reference

Pronouns, substitution, and ellipsis must point to something recoverable.

I liked the first plan, but not the second.

2. Identify stance

Hedging and modality show how strongly the writer commits.

This may suggest a wider trend.

3. Shape the focus

Clefts, inversion, and nominalization decide what the reader notices first.

It was the timing that surprised us.

English word-order check

Use this path when a sentence feels grammatical but awkward.
