How it works

  • The audio plays once and cannot be paused or rewound, as in the real test. Use headphones in a quiet room.
  • You can move between parts and questions while it plays. Type your answers on the page; there is no extra time to transfer them.
  • After Part 4 there is a short time to check your answers. Then the test is marked on our server.
  • The result shows your raw score out of 40, an estimated band, every answer with the transcript line behind it, and a transcript you can play from any line.

Bands are estimates; real conversion varies slightly between test versions. This is an original practice test and not an official IELTS test.
