Trilango is operated by Barış Kara, acting as a Sole Trader registered in the Republic of Türkiye (contact: [email protected]). Our server infrastructure is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH within European Union data centers (Germany & Finland) under a strict GDPR Data Processing Agreement. We provide interactive grammar and vocabulary practice in English, Spanish, and French. You can use the core features of the platform without creating an account.
Account, Guest & Gameplay Data
For registered learners, we store your email address, username, a salted password hash, and a recovery-code hash. Plaintext passwords and recovery codes are never stored. Guest sessions use a randomly generated UUID stored in hashed form on the server. To deliver adaptive learning, level placement, and rankings, we record answered question IDs, response times, scores, and topic mastery progress.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use essential first-party cookies and browser storage to manage secure sessions, subject-language preferences, interface settings, cookie choices, and learning progress. Google Search Console may provide aggregate search indexing and crawl diagnostics for the site; it does not place cookies through Trilango or create learner profiles inside the service. The site does not use advertising pixels or optional analytics cookies.
Device-Native Read-Aloud (TTS)
Audio playback begins solely when explicitly requested by the learner. Reading aloud runs entirely through your browser's local SpeechSynthesis engine using your device's installed native voices. Trilango does not record audio, access your microphone, transmit voice data, or use remote voice cloud APIs. Voice quality and accent availability depend on your local operating system.
Data Retention & Anonymization
Guest session records unattached to an account are permanently purged after 30 days. The site does not store optional analytics event data. Detailed per-question answer logs are anonymized after 18 months by stripping raw response values and client identifiers while retaining high-level aggregate score history and curriculum accuracy metrics, unless retained for an active security investigation.
Your Rights (GDPR & KVKK)
Under GDPR Chapter III and Turkish Law No. 6698 (KVKK Article 11), you have the right to access, rectify, port, and erase your personal data. From your account profile, you can immediately download a complete machine-readable export of all your stored data in JSON format, or permanently delete your account and all associated records. Account deletion is immediate and irrevocable.
