Before you start

General Training Writing

• You have 60 minutes for two tasks. The clock starts when you press the button and does not stop.
• Task 1 needs at least 150 words and Task 2 at least 250 words. Task 2 carries more marks, so plan your time.
• Type your answer in the box on the right. The word count updates as you write. Cut, copy and paste work as on the real test.
• Move between the two tasks with the arrow buttons or the part tabs at the bottom. You can change any answer until you finish.
• Use the notes button for rough planning. Notes are not part of your answer.
• Press the tick when you have finished. When time runs out your answers are submitted for you.
